Miami was my first solo trip, and it’s still one of my favorite cities to visit for a quick getaway. My love for the city started when I visited with my cousin back in college. I instantly fell in love with the vibe of the city. Even though there are lots of amazing hotels around, I always end up at Esme Miami Beach. It’s this cute little boutique hotel that’s just bursting with charm. I love how places like Esme make it easy to meet new people and have these cool, unique experiences. Plus, being right on Espanola Way in South Beach means I’m close to all the good stuff – museums, the beach, restaurants, all just a stroll away.

The Design
With its Spanish Mediterranean style and those distinctive pink buildings, the hotel exudes a European charm that sets it apart from the typical Miami scene. Spanish and Latin influences are evident throughout, with playful patterns adding a unique flair. The atmosphere is vibrant and colorful, with a hint of romance infused into the design. The deep emerald walls, accented with rosy pink tones and luxurious velvet carpets, create a cozy and inviting ambiance. While I didn’t have the chance to explore every room, I found that the basic rooms in the main building (the “Village” rooms) are on the smaller side and have dim lighting. For a brighter and more spacious experience, I highly recommend upgrading to a suite in Casa Matanza. These suites come complete with private balconies that offer stunning views overlooking Española Way. Overall, the hotel’s design is beautiful and definitely worth experiencing.
